February 2, 2024 - Kodiaks win against the SAIT Trojans at home 

 

The intensity was palpable as the Trojans and Kodiaks clashed on the court. The Trojans surged ahead early, maintaining a steady lead with the Kodiaks hot on their heels. Kodiaks' #11 Hannah Helton held control with 8 points and Trojans' #7 Macy Mulholland matching her with 8 points of her own. Despite the Kodiaks' resilience, the Trojans closed out the quarter with a score of 21-14.

The Kodiaks regrouped and made their move, narrowing the gap to just one point. A timeout was called, but the Trojans quickly regained momentum, led by a stellar performance from #0 Brook Bake who netted 13 crucial points. However, the Kodiaks rallied, with #9 Courtney Deemter leading the charge with 9 points, ultimately overtaking the Trojans to end the quarter ahead, 35-34.

The Kodiaks wasted no time asserting their dominance in the third quarter, striking first and maintaining their lead. Despite efforts from the Trojans' #10 Anegor Wol, who notched 7 points, and the Kodiaks' #4 Madison Olsen, who added 4 points of her own, the Kodiaks extended their advantage, finishing the quarter with a commanding 54-44 lead.

With the game on the line, both teams battled fiercely in the final quarter. The Trojans fought valiantly to close the gap, but the Kodiaks proved too formidable. With a relentless offensive onslaught, the Kodiaks surged ahead, sealing the victory with a final score of 69-55, capping off a thrilling matchup filled with intense action and standout performances.
