Queens knock off Rattlers 79-42

In the first game of a double-header weekend action in the Snake Pit, the Medicine Hat Rattlers hosted the Red Deer Queens on Friday January 19th, 2024. 

The first half of the game was close, and both teams showcased some very good skills. In the first quarter, the Rattlers trailed RDP 20-16. The second quarter is when the Queens started to pull away, ending the first half up 45-24. The second half looked the same, but RDP found a groove and stuck with it for the remainder of the game, the third ended 67-34 for the Queen.  The final bizzer sounded and the Queens took the game 79-42.

For the Rattlers, #8 Breanna O'Connor led the way in scoring with 16. #7 Jordyn Knight brought down 6 rebounds for her team. On the Queens side of the court, #22 Janai Hubert put a dent in the points category, ending with a total of 16 points. And #13 Salome Nuako went 5 for 7 from the floor. 

The Rattlers welcome the Queens into the snake pit for a double header and will play each other Saturday, January 20th, 2024 for an afternoon game.
