Lightning Overcome the Clippers in third quarter.

In the second game in as many days, the St. Mary's Lightning overcame Briercrest College Clippers once more.

With the win, STMU secured their fourth victory in a row to maintain their playoff spot, with Briercrest dropping their fourth game in a row against Calgary teams after losing yesterday's match and two previous games against SAIT back in November, dropping to 6-6. St. Mary's increased their lead to 8 and 5 putting them in third ahead of the Ambrose Lions.

The Lightning and Clippers fought hard and the determination was strong in order to secure the win. The Lightning were only up by 2 points to end the half. Going into the third quarter the proved to be no different but the Lightning kept the lead and increased it by 7 points to put the Lightning ahead by 9 points to end the third. The fourth quarter had the Clippers fighting to take the lead but the Lightning stayed strong and secured the win 75 – 65. The players of the game were #8 Amber Fichtner with 15 points and 8 rebounds and #13 Blu Rose for the Lightning with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.
