The NAIT Ooks Women's Basketball team started 2024 with a 57-51 comeback victory against the host Keyano Huskies at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta. Friday night.
Before the comback could begin, the Huskies took charge in the first half with a 19-12 first quarter and a 22-13 second quarter to hold a 16-point lead at the break. However, the Ooks would fulfill their role in the comeback with a 17-5 third quarter and a 15-5 fourth to eclipse the Huskies on their home court.
Up next for the two teams is a rematch at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre on Saturday afternoon with tip-off at 1:00 p.m. on ACAC TV and Telus Optik 1998.
