Calgary, Alberta – Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023: BC Clippers 77 at SAIT Trojans 84

Brook Baker led the way with 31 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists as the SAIT Trojans women's basketball team won their second in a row over the BC Clippers Saturday afternoon with a final score of 84-77. The Trojans now sit at 4-6 heading into the break, and BC sits at 6-3.

SAIT outscored BC by 16 in the second half, erasing a nine-point halftime deficit to cap off back-to-back wins over the Clippers.

#4 Ava Kearl and #0 Brook Baker forced BC into 13 turnovers and combined for 45 of SAIT's 84 points. #10 Anegor Wol contributed another 24 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Clippers played motivated in the first half, looking for revenge after yesterday's three-point loss at the hands of SAIT. They scored a game-high 27 points in the second quarter and led by nine after 20 minutes.

But SAIT forced nine turnovers in the third and held BC to 5/18 shooting from the field, resulting in just 10 Clipper points in the quarter. With SAIT scoring 24, they took a 64-59 lead into the fourth.

#0 Brook Baker hit three of her four shots in the fourth for nine points, and the Trojans once again played lockdown defence, forcing the Clippers to shoot just 4/16 in the final ten minutes to help them come away with the 84-77 win.

The Trojans enter the winter break on a two-game winning streak, with an overall record of 4-6. They will be back in action on Jan. 12, hitting the road to face off against the Ambrose University Lions.

The BC Clippers will also play their next game on Jan. 12, at St. Mary's University against the Lightning.
