Lions Fall in Hard Fought Game

Calgary, AB - Lakeland (79) at Ambrose (58)

In a commanding performance, Lakeland College dominated the court against Ambrose University, securing a definitive victory with a final score of 79-58.

From the get-go, Lakeland College set a strong pace, seizing a significant lead in the first quarter with a score of 25 points compared to Ambrose University's 13. 

Despite a spirited effort from Ambrose University, Lakeland College managed to extend their lead, entering halftime with a comfortable advantage of 41-23. Ambrose University came out of the half with lots of energy and had some great defensive stops, attempting to narrow the gap, but Lakeland College maintained their composure, maintaining a solid 62-38 lead by the end of the third quarter.

The final quarter saw Ambrose University making a late push, showing resilience and determination, but Lakeland College remained composed and skillful, ultimately securing the win with a final score of 79-58.

Hineaupounamu Nuku had a great performance from Lakeland with 18 points, and 4 rebounds. The lions had Andrijana Bokan with a double double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The lions look forward to next weekend when they take on STMU.
