WBB | Undefeated teams face off

November 17, 2023. The opening minutes saw Kodiaks' #10, Kitawna Sparks, put the first points on the board for the Kodiaks. However, the Rustlers quickly returned, with #14 Kayleena Garda demonstrating her offensive capabilities by contributing four crucial points. As the quarter progressed, both teams remained neck-and-neck. The competition was fierce, with only a one-point difference at times, The closing moments of the first quarter were crucial, and the Rustlers seized the opportunity to extend their lead. They concluded the quarter with a score of 22-17 for the Rustlers. 

The Kodiaks started the quarter with determination, eager to overturn the deficit, The efforts paid off, with the Kodiaks chipping away at the Rustlers' lead. Rustlers' #10, Jaden Cook, emerged as a key player in the second quarter, demonstrating exceptional skills with multiple successful baskets that added to their team's point tally. Despite the Kodiaks' strong start to the quarter and their admirable comeback, the Rustlers remained composed extending their lead. As the quarter drew to a close, the Kodiaks' comeback bid fell just short, and the Rustlers managed to hold on to their advantage. The scoreboard at halftime had a score of 37-33 for the Rustlers.  

The third quarter unfolded with relentless intensity as both teams fought tooth and nail for the win. The Rustlers, determined to maintain their lead, continued to extend the gap. Kodiaks' #8, Tylee Perry, emerged as a pivotal player in the third quarter, contributing four crucial points. Despite the Kodiaks' resilience and spirited efforts, the Rustlers maintained their composure and strategic play. As the clock wound down, the Rustlers managed to further extend their lead, finishing the third quarter with a score of 59-44.
