Lakeland women's basketball continues to roll in the Lloydminster gym.
The Rustlers hosted the Augustana Vikings on Friday, a team that won ACAC Silver last season, but was desperate for a win over the weekend. After a slow start in the opening minutes, Lakeland pushed past Augustana to win each of the first two quarters, before blowing the game open in the final 15 minutes to win 96-64.
Susan Ayaa had a massive game off the bench for the home team, with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Mallory Ogilvie had a team high 15 points for Augustana.
The Rustlers remain undefeated, while the Vikings drop to 1-4.
Next for Lakeland, a trip to sourthern Alberta, where they will face the Lethbridge Kodiaks and the Ambrose Lions.
