Queens Reign Supreme: Lions Suffer Loss in Women's Basketball Showdown

The lions took on the queens in their gym for the second home game of the semester. After a loss on the road, the lions were hungry for a win. The lions hosted the teams for their Make Some Noise for Mental health event. Unfortunately, the lions came up short. 
 
After the first quarter the Lions and Queens were neck and neck, finishing the quarter off 10-9 for the queens. Queens pulled ahead in the second quarter, outscoring the lions 23-12. The third quarter went to the lions when they outscored the queens, 19-11. The queens ended up on top beating the lions 66-44. The queens had a good spread of point for the starters with 4 players in double digits. Sandra Garcia-Bernal from the queens had a double double with 11 rebounds and 16 points. The lions had an outstanding perfromance from Andrijana Bokan with a double double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, landing her the Player Of the Game. 
 
The lions are on the road to Augustana the following weekend and come out of this game with a 1-4 record.
