Lightning Fall to Kodiaks in Hard Fought Battles

The Lightning struggled to get moving in the first couple of minutes of the first quarter but determination and hard work had the Lightning closing the gap to end the first quarter at only 4 points behind the Kodiaks.

The second quarter had the Lightning fighting hard but a couple of three point shots and foul trouble for the Lightning had them fall behind by 17 points to end the half. The Lightning's #4 Jaiden Hansen led the team with 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. The Kodiaks #5 Emily Hall ended the half with 11 points, along with #8 Tylee Perry who also had 11 points.

The Lightning and Kodiaks came out firing in the third quarter. The Lightning kept it close the entire quarter, battling back and forth but fell short extending the Kodiaks lead to 22 points.

In the fourth quarter of the play the Lightning did not back down and played with grit and heart. They shortened the lead to under 20 points but unfortunately fell to the Kodiaks 83 to 65.

The players of the game for were #10 Kitawna Sparks with 1 block, 11 rebounds and 23 points. While the Lightning had #4 Jaiden Hansen with 2 assists, 6 rebounds and 11 points.

The Lightning take on Concordia next Friday November 3rd at Concordia at 6pm.
