WBB| Kodiaks win second home game

Kodiaks start their second home game hot thanks to #22 Jocelyn Neilson, Lightnings follow closely behind keeping the score tight for the beginning of the quarter. Kodiaks #11 Hannah Helton played her part in keeping a lead by scoring 6 points during the quarter. Kodiaks held the lead but Lightning did not stand down. Kodiaks kept their lead finishing the quarter with a soccer of 23-15.

In the second quarter of the game, the Kodiaks' #9, Courtney Deemter, had an impressive performance, scoring 8 points. The Kodiaks maintained their lead, but the Lightning started to catch up. Lightning's #8, Ivet Hidalgo, contributed with 4 points in this quarter. The game become more competitive as Lightning narrowed the point gap. At the end of the second quarter, the Kodiaks led with a score of 39, while the Lightning were close behind with 35 points. 

In the third quarter, the Kodiaks' #10, Kitawna Sparks, had a strong performance, contributing 8 points to their total. Despite the Lightning calling timeouts, the Kodiaks continued to open the point gap. Lightning's #8, Ivet Hidalgo, stood out with two breakaway points and a three-point shot. However, Kodiaks #8 Tyless Perry, played a crucial role in keeping her team in the game with her skills. The third quarter ended with a score of 72 for the Kodiaks and 54 for the Lightning. 

In the final quarter, Kodiaks' #10 Kitawna Sparks continued to shine, contributing the first six points. The Kodiaks maintained their lead however lightning was gaining point through free-throw shots. On the Lightning side, #3 Jazmyn Kellogg kept her team in the game with a three-point shot and multiple free throws. However, the Kodiaks' #13 had an outstanding performance, hitting three consecutive three-point shots. As a result, the Kodiaks extended their lead significantly, finishing the game with a score of 98, while the Lightning scored 65.
