Briercrest Takes First Game of Weekend Series

The Medicine Hat Rattlers are the host of the Briercrest Clippers. The Briercrest Clippers came out to a firing start. #14 Hope Jordens came into the snake pit and put up a staggering 7 points in the first quarter. The final score of the first quarter was 24-6, in favor of the Clippers. 

The Clippers did not hesitate to turn up the jets in the second quarter, making the score more of a more extensive lead.#7 Jordyn Knight of the Rattlers tried to build momentum, putting up 6 points for them. The Clippers won the quarter 20-5,and this quarter ended with the Rattlers still trailing behind 44-11. 

After half time, the Rattlers still found it a struggle to find a groove within this game. #9 Dori Sunderland of the Clippers helped secure the quarter victory whilst putting up a solid 9 point quarter. The Rattlers found a way to score some more baskets and end the quarter scoring 18, the Clippers ended the quarter scoring 27. The final score of the quarter was 71-29. 

The fourth quarter the Rattlers continued to improve and score more baskets, the Clippers did not yield and continued to have a successful basketball game. #6 Grace Therman of the Rattlers showed off her number and put in the only 3-Point basket of the game. On the Clippers side of the court, #14 Hope Jordens helped secure the win and put up 6 points for the away team.
