Lakeland Rustlers VS CUE Eagles

The Lakeland College Rustlers take on the Concordia University Eagles tonight at 6 pm at Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta, to end the weekend of play. The Rustlers had a slow start tonight, having a hard time scoring on transition. The Eagles were led by #9 Kaelyn Bryks to lead the Rustlers in the first quarter, 12-19. The Rustlers brought it to the Eagles in the second quarter, outscoring them 21 points to 11 to finish off the half 33-30 for the Rustlers. Entering the second half of the game, the Rustlers pushed against the Eagles to take a strong lead 57-46. Brooke Froment and the Eagles attempted to answer back but fell short in the 4th quarter after both teams had good runs. The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the Concordia University Eagles 66-56. The game players were #11 Hailey Somers off the Lakeland Rustlers and #11 Rachel Harvey off the Concordia University Eagles. The Rustlers finished off the weekend undefeated and still in the top spot position in the North division of the ACAC Women's basketball competition.
