Clippers continue on at ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship

A day after their title defense came to an end, the Briercrest College Clippers bounced back to beat the Olds College Broncos in four sets (25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 25-15) at the Ralph Klein Centre on Saturday.

With the victory, the Clippers will now face the Lethbridge College Kodiaks for fifth place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, while the Broncos' season is now complete.

Karym Coleman provided yet another example of the brilliance that's netted him three ACAC South Player of the Year awards as he led the Clippers with a game-high 19 kills, while Jackson Anderson did damage all over the court in a 16-point effort (12 kills, three blocks, one ace), as did ACAC South All-Conference middle Adam Revet with 13 points (nine kills, three blocks, one ace). Jeremy Martens facilitated the Briercrest offense efficiently, as the ACAC South All-Conference setter racked up 44 assists to go with a five-point performance.

For the host Broncos, ACAC South All-Conference outside Matheus Franca led the way with 13 points (nine kills, four blocks) and 10 digs, while Aidyn Phillips (seven kills, one ace, one block) and Strahinja Lazarevic (four kills, five blocks) each had nine points; Lazarevic also added three digs on the night.
