Ooks Win at Final Home Game

Saturday nights action saw the visiting Medicine Hat Rattlers take on NAIT Ooks in a makeup game from January. The first set saw the Ooks get out to an early lead from great plays by #9 Ross Bishop and #15 Shae McIntyre. The Ooks were able to assert their dominance and maintain their lead for the majority of the first set, resulting in them taking an early lead.

 

The Ooks lead 1-0.

 

The second set saw the Ooks get out to an early 11-1 lead, with some great plays from #7 Joshua Watson and #1 Mason Gorski. The Ooks were able to maintain their double-digit lead for most of the set and take control of the match, needing just one more set to end the regular season off with a win.

 

The Ooks lead 2-0.

 

 

The third set saw the Ooks carry their momentum over, taking an early 8-3 lead. #5 from the Rattlers Jordan McKee was able to help keep them in the set with some powerful serves and spikes. An ace from Ooks #1 Mason Gorski saw them regain control of the match and they never looked back. The Ooks were able to close out the match and head into playoffs on a high note.

 

The Ooks won 3-0.
