Rustlers defeat King's on Halloween night

Lakeland is off to a strong start this fall and showing a habit of playing well in front of big crowds.

The Rustlers hosted the King's Eagles in a key North Division matchup. This came just before Halloween, with several regional high school teams in attendance.

Lakeland took the opening two sets 25-21, 25-23, wininng the serve and pass game in each set. TKU responded in the third to win 25-22, getting some timely kills. However, the home side rode momentum in the third set, winning 25-19.

Right-side Vaughn Zimmer had a big match, posting 20 kills and 3 blocks.

The win improves the Rustlers to 3-0. THe rematch between the two teams is tomorrow night in Edmonton.
