Lions Overtake Rattlers in Nail Biter Match
Calgary, AB – February 3rd, 2024 – MHC (0) at AMB (3)
Saturday night volleyball in the den was an electric night with the Medicine Hat Rattlers playing at the Ambrose Lions. The match ended with a 3-0 victory for the Lions.
The first set was a tight one with both teams fighting for the first set win. The Rattlers came out strong and started the match with an early lead. The Lions played hard and came out on top with a 25-23 first set victory.
Medicine Hat came out strong in the second set with an early lead, but the lions kept playing hard and came out on top with a 25- 22 win.
The third set was a nail biter with the teams going point for point, but the lions finished the game off with a 30-28 victory, finishing the game with straight sets.
There were some notable performances during the match. #3 Nathan Chernik from the Rattlers finished the game with 9 kills. #17 Isaac Karstad from the Ambrose lions had 17 kills. #9 Emmitt Juul-Hansen had an amazing 37 assists.
The lions look forward to next week when they take on NWP and NAIT for the two final games of the semester.
