MVB| Kodiaks look to sweep the weekend against the Olds Broncos

January 27, 2024 - Kodiaks men win back-to-back at home

 

Set 1 began with the Kodiaks asserting their dominance, securing an early lead. Despite Broncos' #9 Reed Grusing contributing 1 dig and 2 assists, the Kodiaks, led by #4 Tyler Chernishenko's 4 digs, maintained control. Though the Broncos managed to briefly tie the game, the Kodiaks swiftly regained momentum, widening the point gap and ultimately claiming the set 25-16.

In Set 2, the Broncos took charge, keeping the Kodiaks at bay. Despite the Kodiaks' efforts to level the score, Broncos' #6 Matheus Franca's 4 digs and 1 kill helped maintain their lead. Though Kodiaks' #17 Kohlbe Anderson made contributions, the Broncos maintained control, finishing the set 25-19.

Set 3 saw the Kodiaks regaining control with powerful plays, prompting the Broncos to call a timeout. Despite efforts from Broncos' #12 Sean Vanderzee, who tallied 2 digs and 3 assists, the Kodiaks, led by #8 Shaye Wall's 3 digs, remained in command, securing the set 25-17.

In Set 4, the Kodiaks surged ahead, putting the first 4 points on the board, leading to a Broncos timeout. Despite a valiant effort from the Broncos to regain momentum, the Kodiaks held firm, ultimately securing the set 25-16 and clinching the game.
