Men's Volleyball Huskies top visiting Kodiaks in four sets

Fort McMurray, Alta. (November 18) - Lethbridge College Kodiaks 1 Keyano Huskies 3 (21-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-13)

The Keyano Huskies Men's Volleyball team dropped the first set, but won the next three as they rolled to a four-set victory against the visiting Lethbridge College Kodiaks Saturday night at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta.

Athus Silva took the offensive lead Saturday with 14 kills, topping fellow countryman Rafael Parada's 12 and a 10-kill performance from Joao Cunha. Noah Gagne collected 36 assists while Anderson King added a team-leading seven digs. Silva added six blocks in the performance. 

On the visiting side of the ball, Nolan Moes collected 16 kills while Tyler Chernishenko added five kills of his own in the win. Ben St. Pierre picked up 22 assists while handling setting duties, also tying with teammate Adam Boras for the team lead in digs with nine. 

Both sides will close out the 2023 sides of their campaigns next weekend with the Kodiaks visiting Red Deer to take on the Kings while the Huskies invade Edmonton to challenge the NAIT Ooks.
