The NAIT Ooks started their weekend off in style, defeating the Olds College Broncos in straight sets (25-23, 25-18, 25-20) at the Ralph Klein Centre on Friday.

Ross Bishop had an efficient night for the Ooks (4-2) with 12 kills on 16 attacks while adding an ace and a block for a total of 14 points. Wyatt Turnbull turned in a 10-point night (seven kills, three blocks) along with five digs, while setter Mason Gorski posted a team-high nine digs to go with 30 assists.

Strahinja Lazarevic paced the offensive efforts for the Broncos (3-5) with eight points (six kills, two blocks) and a team-high eight digs, while Matheus Franca (four kills, two blocks, one ace) and Reed Grusing (six kills, one block) added seven points apiece.

Both teams will hit the court again tomorrow at 8 p.m. as NAIT will host SAIT, and Olds College will take on Northwestern Polytechnic. Both matchups will be available to watch on ACACTV.ca, as well as on TELUS OptikTV channel 1998.
