Kodiaks sweep the Vikings at home

The Kodiaks wasted no time, establishing an early 3-point lead and maintaining their advantage through a series of back-and-forth points. A notable highlight during the set was a powerful attack-line kill executed by #17 Kohlbe Anderson on the Kodiaks, showcasing their offensive prowess. The Kodiaks didn't let up; they continued to push forward, extending their lead to a 5-point margin. With determination and teamwork, they clinched the first set with a final score of 25-18, setting the tone for an intense and competitive match ahead. 

In the second set of this intense volleyball match, the Kodiaks jumped to an early 4-point lead, with the score at 9-5, showcasing their skill and determination. The Kodiaks continued to press their advantage, increasing their lead to a commanding 7 points, with the score now at 16-9. The Vikings recognized the need to regroup and called a timeout to reevaluate their strategy. Despite the Vikings' efforts, the Kodiaks took charge, winning a series of critical rallies and further widening their lead to an impressive 8 points. Their determination and coordination on the court were evident. The Kodiaks ultimately secured the second set with a final score of 25-16, demonstrating their control and efficiency in this particular set. A notable highlight of the set was the outstanding performance of the Kodiaks' setter, #5 Ben St. Pierre, who contributed 11 assists, showcasing his crucial role in the team's success.

In the third set, the Kodiaks continued their pattern of taking an early lead, opening with a score of 8-4, much like the first two sets. Their ability to set the pace of the game was evident, and they were determined to maintain their control. The Kodiaks, took full control of the set by going on a remarkable 5-point run, extending their lead to 18-11. Their consistent performance and well-coordinated plays kept the Vikings at bay. Not to be deterred, the Vikings launched a spirited run of their own, reducing the deficit to 21-17. Their determination and resilience were admirable, as they fought hard to make a comeback.  Despite the Vikings' efforts, the Kodiaks managed to stay ahead and ultimately closed out the third set with a final score of 25-21. Their consistency and ability to maintain the lead throughout the set secured them the victory and a 3-0 win.
