Home Opener begins with point-on-point action. Wolves pull away with a 3 point lead score is 10-7 when NWP calls a time out. Wolves maintain a 4 point lead, when the Vikings #17 Devon Nazarchuk delivers a huge kill. Vikings close the gap, Wolves lead 13-12. Wolves maintain a 1 point lead and the Vikings put the pressure on. Vikings tie it up score is 17 – 17 in this exciting first set. Wolves call another time out when the Vikings take the 1-point lead. Wolves #4 Kaden Bennett maintains a 1 point lead with a huge kill, score 23-22. Wolves and Vikings maintain the point for point scoring as tensions rise. Vikings pull ahead with 1, when NWP's coach Ron Thomson calls another time out. Vikings lead 24-23. UAA gets the set 25-23 after an intense start.

Second set start off the same the same way, with both teams taking a 1 point lead only to be tied up by the other team. Score remains tied at 13-13. Vikings manage to pull ahead by 3 with an ace serve by Vikings #11 Taryn Watson. Wolves call a time out. Vikings #17 Devon Nazarchuk with another nice kill, only to be returned by the Wolves #17 Chad Morrison. NWP's #4 Kaden Bennett delivers another huge kill. Wolves trail the Vikings by 1 point score is 19-18. NWP's #10 Josh Dumont with a huge block, brings the score to 22-21 for the Vikings. Vikings call a time out. NWP's #17 Chad Morrison ties it up again, 22-22. The crowd goes wild after an outstanding rally, Wolves take the 1 point lead 23-22. Out of bounds serve and the score is tied up again at 24-24. Wolves take the second set 26-24.

Wolves start out the third set strong and pull away with a 5 point lead. Vikings tighten the Wolves lead. Wolves call a time out when the score reaches 13-11. Another kill for NWP's #4 Kaden Bennett keeps the lead for the Wolves. Outstanding blocks from NWP's #15 Justice Bigstone and #10 Josh Dumont keep the Wolves ahead. Another fantastic rally ends with a kill from the Wolves #17 Chad Morison, to maintain a 2 point lead. Vikings call a timeout, score is 22-18 for NWP. Another block from NWP's #10 Josh Dumont followed by a kill from #4 Chad Morrison brings the score to 24-20 for NWP. After another great rally NWP's #7 puts it away and the Wolves take the set 25-20.

The same trend continues with these evenly matched teams. Score is 9-7 for NWP and the Vikings call a time out. Play returns and Vikings get the first point. Vikings block from #6 Richard Birkill ties it up at 10-10. NWP's #17 Chad Morrison has a streak of kills to pull the Wolves ahead by 2. Score is 15-13. Vikings return with a kill from #6 Richard Birkill. Vikings #03 Jonah Vander Leek with a huge kill ties the game up again 17-17. Both teams work to gain the lead but points are back and forth. NWP calls a timeout score is 20-20. Wolves manage to pull ahead by 2, 23-21. The crowd goes wild when NWP makes it 24-21. NWP take the game 25-21 to win their home opener.
