Rattlers Fall in Last Home Game to Trojans

In the final home game of the season for the Rattlers, they played host to the #3 ranked SAIT Trojans. SAIT came in already clinched to the top spot in the South Division and Medicine Hat needed a win to keep their slim hopes alive at getting into the Conference Championships. The game started out with SAIT controlling the game but generating too much in scoring chances as some changes to the starting 11 took a while for the team to gel in the final third. No goals would come during the first 45 minutes as only 2 shots combined for both teams hit the target and neither of them really tested either goalkeeper into making a significant save.

The second half again was controlled off the start by the SAIT Trojans and were eventually rewarded when a Jon Ingram shot would make its way past Rattlers goalkeeper Maksymilian Slaweta in the 59th minute putting the Trojans up 1-0. SAIT continued to control possession limiting the chances the Rattlers would have for a counterattack. Numerous substitutions by the Rattlers and changes of formation and tactics throughout the second half would not solve the Trojans backline as they fell 1-0 to the Trojans.
