The NAIT Ooks Defeat The Keyano Huskies 3-0.

Edmonton, AB - The NAIT Ooks faced off against the Keyano Huskies this Saturday afternoon at St. Albert's Soccer Association in Edmonton, AB. After being sidelined last week due to a canceled game because of the poor air quality, the NAIT Ooks men's soccer team are back in action facing the Huskies for the first time this season.

The game commenced with an intense physicality, as both teams quickly generated several goal-scoring opportunities by still relying on their strong defensive skills, both squads exhibited an eagerness to kick-start their offensive plays. The Keyano Huskies found themselves with numerous opportunities to find the back of the net, but unfortunately, they couldn't quite capitalize with the precision needed to score. In contrast, the NAIT Ooks displayed resilience, remaining hopeful and determined to create their own chances for scoring. As the first half neared its conclusion, both teams demonstrated their superb defensive skills, actively intercepting each other's passes. However, at the 41-minute mark of the match, NAIT Ooks' striker, #15 Elijah Bossio, delivered a spectacular goal with an assist from #4 .

The goal scored by NAIT Ooks in the first half elevated the game to a new level of competitiveness as the Huskies tried to find a way to even up the score. They had a corner kick that was saved at the last minute by NAIT Ooks' goalkeeper, #1 Connor Short. This didn't stop the Huskies from trying to create another opportunity to score a goal as they intensified their offensive plays, opening up the field for their strikers to find the net. However, the Ooks also battled hard, repelling every offensive attack that the opposing team launched. Not content with just one goal in the game, the NAIT Ooks started pushing their offense into the opponent's half of the field to increase their lead. At the 80th minute mark, a corner kick from the NAIT Ook's side was successfully stopped by the Keyano Huskies' goalkeeper. The NAIT Ooks' determination paid off as they put in a spectacular back to back goal at the 87th by #14 Markus Sherling assisted by #5 Andrii Khymchuk and 88th mark by #4 Felix Mutuyemungu assist by #6 respectively before the game ended.
