MSOC | Kodiaks Jump into the Season with a Bang

Sept 9, 2023 | Red Deer Kings and Lethbridge Kodiaks meet for the first time in the new season both looking for their first win.

Both teams started the game hot off the bench eager to get their first win of the season. Red Deer Kings kept the Kodiaks under pressure as they kept the game in Kodiaks territory. This was no match for the Kodiaks, part way through the first half Kodiaks #22 Ryder Skolka scored the first goal of the game. Red Deer continued to fight but Kodiaks #7 Jacob Marshall Scored another goal for Lethbridge. The first half ended with a score of 2-0 for the Kodiaks.

Jumping into the second half, with tension on the field, Kodiaks kept the pressure on the Kings keeping them stuck on their half. Red Deer Kings found their break through when #10 Ajdin Sarcevic scored their first goal. The game intensity picked up fast as the second half was coming to an end, however this was no match for Kodiaks #5 Joel Mcleod as he scored the third goal for the Kodiaks. The second half came to an end with a score of 3-2 for the Kodiaks.
