EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder took on the visiting Lakeland Rustlers in this important game that would help with playoff seeding in one of the last remaining games of the season. The Thunder walked away victorious with a score of 2-0.

The Thunder opened up with the scoring in the 23rd minute of the game and held a 1-0 lead until the dying minutes into the first half, potting one more to go up 2-0.

The second half picked up physically and was back and forth with some great defence. Both teams had a fair share of chances and the Rustlers applied pressure in the second that kept the Thunder on their toes.

The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Rustlers, was #16 Mitch Wagner, and for the Thunder #11 Ilyas Omar.
