Ooks Silence Wolves At Futsal North Regionals

LAC LA BICHE, AB – Led by a pair of goals from both Sarah Weremczuk and Irelyn Spelt, the NAIT Ooks defeated the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves Friday night at the first of two ACAC Futsal North Regionals at the Bold Center. Toni Burse, Sasha Pietramala and Alexis McLaughlin also scored for the Ooks. The result puts NAIT at 1-0 and Northwestern Polytechnic at 0-1. Team records will carry forward to the next regional tournament, to be held at the Bold Center February 2-4. The top three teams from the two regional tournaments will qualify for the ACAC Championships on March 8-10 in Lac La Biche.
