Close Match for Lions and Trojans

Calgary, AB - January 20th, 2024 - SAIT (4) at Ambrose (3)

Both the Lions and Trojans were hungry for a win this past weekend in an afternoon futsal match. Both teams fought hard and were very competitive. The game ended in a tight 4-3 finished. 

The first half was a low scoring game with the Trojans up by 1. With 3 early goals in the second half, the Trojans lead the lions 4-0. Being down four goals, the lions kicked it into high gear and scored 3 quick goals, nearing the end of the half. Both teams were working hard to win the game. The lions had multiple scoriing opportunities, but the SAIT goalie managed to keep the lions to 3 goals. The clock ran out and the final score was 4-3 for the Trojans. 

#7, Aristotle Cruz scored 2 goals and won player of the game for the match and #7, Ryusei Ito, scored 3 goals, earning him player of the game.
