At 7:00 CST the Augustana Vikings took on the Briercrest Clippers. Both teams came into the game hot and immediately set the tone for a physical game With Briercrest having three players leave early and only two returning to the game they were left with few bodies. However, Augustana also lost two of their men due to game misconducts. Both teams struggled on the many powerplay opportunities given to them, but it was at even strength that Briercrest secured their victory five to one. Number seventeen, Kyle Ford, of the Vikings was named one of the players of the game, and Briercrest's number Nine, Daxton Budd, was also named Player of the Game. Briercrest looks to close out the series three to one if they can get the win on Saturday at 2:00 CST.
