A penalty by the Trojans midway through the period allowed the Ooks to shift the play into the offensive side of the ice, but they were unable to capitalize. A turnover by the Trojans in the neutral zone resulted in Eric Lacombe to score off the breakaway, putting the Ooks up by 2. The Trojans immediately respond with a goal from Brandon Machado with assists from Tye Carriere and Brett Trentham. The Ooks continued on the attack with Eric Lacombe scoring his second goal of the period with an assist from #9 Bjorn Robinson. The Ooks weren't done yet.
