SAIT Trojans triumph over Kodiaks in quarterfinal win

Calgary, AB- The SAIT Trojans took the game on Saturday night against the Lethbridge Kodiaks, in a thrilling quarterfinal matchup. The Trojans ended up taking the game with a score of 92-78, securing their spot in the upcoming ACAC semifinal game against the first place ranked North team. 

The Trojans came out of the gate strong, going up ahead of the Kodiaks early in the first quarter. Lethbridge eventually got their footing though, and ended up bringing the game to a score of 22-14 for the Trojans at the end of the first quarter. Kodiaks #21, Declan Peterson had an impressive stat line following the first quarter with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks. 

The Kodiaks trailed for the rest of the game, with the Trojans keeping a comfortable lead of at least 10 points throughout the game.

9, Akoi Yuot lead the Trojans in scoring, putting on an extremely impressive display of athleticism and talent with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Leading the pack for the Kodiaks was #21, Declan Peterson finishing off the game with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. 

Ultimately, the Kodiaks couldn't catch up with the early lead that the Trojans got, falling in this quarterfinal matchup and finishing off their season.
