February 17, 2024 - Kodiaks win 116-87

 

In the first quarter, both teams came out strong, keeping the score tied initially. However, the Kodiaks quickly gained momentum, pulling ahead to establish a 20-point lead. The Eagles' shooter, Cam Knisely, displayed skill with successful baskets, but the Kodiaks' Filip Karanovic led the charge with an impressive 15 points. The quarter concluded with the Kodiaks leading 32-18.

The Eagles staged a comeback in the second quarter, narrowing the gap between the two teams. However, the Kodiaks managed to maintain their lead, prompting the Eagles to call a timeout. Cornelius Mingo Jr. of the Eagles contributed significantly with 17 points, while Rhett Lewis of the Kodiaks showcased sharpshooting prowess with his 3-pointers. The Kodiaks finished the quarter with a score of 63-35, still holding onto their 20-point lead.

As the game progressed into the third quarter, the Kodiaks continued to dominate, extending their lead to over 30 points. Jonathan Barwegen of the Eagles put up a fight with 6 points, but Dray Walburger of the Kodiaks countered with an impressive 19 points. The third quarter concluded with the Kodiaks in a commanding position, leading 92-56.

In the final quarter, the Eagles made efforts to close the gap, but the Kodiaks proved too formidable. Despite the Eagles' best efforts, the Kodiaks maintained their lead, even extending it to 40 points at times. Tyrone Kumson of the Eagles contributed 9 points, while Declan Peterson of the Kodiaks added 17 points to their tally. The game ended with the Kodiaks emerging victorious with a final score of 116-87, showcasing their dominance on the court.
