Lightning Remain In First After Another Electrifying Win

On a chilly night in Calgary, ACAC basketball fans gathered at Glenmore Christian Academy to witness an intense matchup between the Olds College Broncos and the St Mary's Lightning. The gym exuded warmth as fans filled the stands, creating an electric atmosphere. The first half unfolded with the Lightning asserting their dominance, heading into halftime with a commanding 51-33 lead over the Broncos.

The game featured unique moments, including an unfortunate twist for St Mary's player Brock Dewbery, who, after making his first two shots, suffered an ankle injury when landing on an opponent's foot. Despite this setback, Johnpaul Okodua showcased his prowess underneath, securing an impressive 22 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 16 points. Caleb Jipp continued his scoring spree with a rapid-fire 20 points in just 20 minutes, while rookie Noah Steingart added 17 points to the Lightning's total.

Logan Bennett emerged as a standout for the Broncos, displaying sharpshooting skills and accumulating an impressive 24 points. The game concluded with a decisive 103-73 victory for the Lightning. As they maintained their top position in the south division, the Lightning looked ahead to their final week against Landland and Keyano at home.
