Since being swept on opening weekend, Lakeland men's basketball has improved their play week after week.
Friday, night, the Rustlers had a critical matchup against the NAIT Ooks. This was the last home game the semester for Lakeland, who came into the game having won seven in a row.
Once again, the home team was dominant, winning each of the first three quarters by at least seven points, only losing the last one by two to come away with the 91-65 victory.
Andre McFadden had another big showing off the bench, scoring 21 points, while Jordan Simpson had 9 points and 7 rebounds to win Player of the Game. Yassier Abdullahi led the Ooks with 19 points.
NAIT falls to 3-6, while the Rustlers remain one game back of the Keyano Huskies. The rematch is at 8 PM on Saturday in Edmonton.
