Lightning Cruise to Victory Over Lions

The Lightning and Lions both came out firing but it was the Lightning that took an early lead to the Lions. The Lions battled back to make it a tie in the first quarter of play but the Lightning responded and ended the first quarter up by 5 points. The second half had the Lightning and Lions battling for the lead as the Lions came close and tried to take the lead from the Lightning. However, the Lightning responded and increased their lead to 13 points to end the first half of game play. The Lightning were led by #3 Caleb Jipp who had 18 points in the first half. The Lions were led by #15 Jackson Earle who was on fire from the 3-point line. The second half started out as the same as the first, with both teams playing incredible defence and trying to secure the win. But the Lightning were no match for the Lions and with their smooth ball movement ended the third quarter beating the Lions by 13 points and bringing the lead to 26. The Lions came out firing in the fourth quarter but it was not enough to beat the commanding lead that the Lightning held.

The game ended in favour of the Lightning 110 to 88. The players of the game were #23 Victor Idoko with 5 rebounds and 10 points while #7 Brock Dewsbery was player of the game for the Lightning with 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 24 points. The Lightning take on the Lions tomorrow on the Lion's home court at 8 pm.
