Ooks Fall Short to Trojans

On Saturday night, the NAIT Ooks played the SAIT Trojans at the NAIT gymnasium

In the first quarter, the Trojans quickly took the lead and started to create a gap, leaving the Ooks offence scrambling to catch up. But it wasn't long before the Ooks' momentum shifted, and the offence began to generate incredible plays so that the Ooks could take the lead late in the quarter.

The game was tied 20-20 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Trojans managed to create a gap as their offence was dominating over the Ooks defence with great drives from number zero  Marcus Masters. The Ooks were struggling to break through the Trojans defence; however, with some great drives from number eight Owen Weaver, the Ooks were able to reduce the Trojans lead.  

The Trojans led the game 45-32 after the second quarter.

In the third quarter, the Trojans dominated offensively and defensively with incredible outside shooting from number zero Marcus Masters. But the Ooks continued to battle and slowly seemed to be gaining some momentum and generating offensive opportunities.

Trojans led the game 65-52 after the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Trojans left the Ooks scrambling defensively and continued to grow their lead. However, the Ooks were able to close the gap with incredible drives from number three, Amari Lessa Linklater. However, the Trojans didn't give up their lead with great shots from number twenty-four Koul Koul.

The Trojans won the game 92-86
