Lions Fall after a Hard Fought Game

Calgary, AB - Keyano (98) at Ambrose (83)

In a highly anticipated matchup between the Ambrose Lions and the Keyano Huskies, Keyano secured a 98-83 win over Ambrose University.

The game began with the Lions charging onto the court and dominating the first quarter with an impressive 28 points while holding Keyano to 17 points. #15 Jackson earle was 100% from the 3 points line and secured 9 points for the lions in the first quarter, giving the team energy and gumption. 

The second quarter sustained the intensity as both teams matched each other basket for basket. Keyano College rallied with a strong performance, closing the gap with 26 points in the quarter, while Ambrose University maintained their consistency, also scoring 26 points. The first half concluded with Ambrose holding onto their lead, but Keyano's resurgence hinted at a competitive second half.

However, the third quarter completely shifted the momentum of the game. Keyano Huskies emerged revitalized, displaying an outstanding offensive prowess with another 26-point quarter. In stark contrast, Ambrose faced a challenging period, managing only 12 points, allowing Keyano to gain a significant advantage going into the final quarter.

With a sizable lead in their grasp, the Huskies didn't relent in the fourth quarter. They continued their dominance, adding 29 more points to their tally. Despite Ambrose's efforts to stage a comeback with 17 points in the final quarter, Keyano's earlier surge proved insurmountable.

Keyano College emerged victorious with a final score of 98 points to Ambrose University's 83. With sucha  high sciring game there were multiple players in double digits from the huskies. #14 Mateja Vukic had 17 points and 6 assists and #15 Jackson Earle had 18 points with some very important 3 pointers made.
