Men's basketball at Lakeland had an abnormal night... where the game didn't come down to the dying seconds.
The Rustlers hosted the Augustana Vikings Saturday, looking to win their 5th straight contest. In the early minutes, Augustana couldn't get shots to fall and Lakeland was able to captialize, leading 39-28 at the half. a 26-point 4th Quarter sealed the game for the homeside, as the Rustlers went on to win 86-67.
Abdul Al-Tamimi continued his strong play for Lakeland, scoring 25 points, while Jordan Simpson added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Marc Parma had 16 points for Augustana, who fell to 1-4 on the year.
The Rustlers will try to make it six in a row on Friday when they travel to lethbridge and take on the Kodiaks.
