Lightning Battle to Victory Over the Kodiaks

Calgary, AB - The Lightning and Kodiaks both came out strong to start the game. The Lightning took a quick lead but the Kodiaks fought back. The Lightning and Kodiaks exchanged bucket for bucket ending the first with the Lightning ahead by 3 points.

The second quarter proved no different as both teams continued to battle back and forth. However the Lightning tough defence and determination kept them on top to end the first half of game play ahead by 2 points.

The leaders for the first half were #3 Mason Hoffman with 15 points and #7 Brock Dewsbery with 12 points.

The Lightning and Kodiaks came out firing on all cylinders to start the third. The score was just as close to end the third leaving the Lightning up by 4 points to start the 4th quarter.

The 4th quarter was no different as both teams came out with heart and desire to claim victory. The Lightning however took a commanding lead beating the Kodiaks out by 6 points, and winning the game 97 to 87.

The players of the game were #3 Mason Hoffman with 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 31 points for the Kodiaks, while the Lightning #7 Brock Dewsbery ended with 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 24 points.

The Lightning take on Concordia next Friday Nov 3rd at 8pm at Concordia.
