Kings Edge Out Lions in Thrilling Men's Basketball Battle

 

In a Make Some Noise for Mental Health event, the lions took on the King's at home. After a tight match and nail biting third quarter, the lions came up short but both teams played very well in heated match. 

 

RDP took the lead early with the first quarter finishing 22-18. The lions came back in the second and third quarter and ended up tying the game. The energy in the gym was electric in the third with lots of steals and three pointers from the lions. The King's came out on top at the end with a 110 victory. The King's had 6 players in the double digits with #7 Derrick Amponsa dropping 20 points. Two players had double doubles for RDP including #14 José Mauro Barrozo Júnior and #11 Efe Iyamu. For the lions #12 Guilherme Lacerda Ferreira had a double double with 11 rebounds and 17 points and #5  Lucas Pedersen had 23 points. #14 Matthew Henry-Harrison from the lions landed player of the game for his tenacity and 26 points that he added to the board. 

 

The lions take on Augustana next weekend and after this game end up with a 1-4 record.
