On Saturday afternoon the NAIT Ooks played Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves at the NAIT gymnasium
In the first quarter, Wolves established themselves an early lead with great rebounding and shots from number seven Daniel Rocha Zandbergen. However, Ooks weren't far behind with fantastic outside shooting from number one Griffin Lorenz. Nonetheless, the Wolves held their lead.
Wolves led the game 23-21 after the first quarter.
In the second quarter the Ooks took the lead with great drives and outside shooting from number eight Owen Weaver. The Wolves quickly took back the lead with their offensive drives from number twenty Manny IIoka.
Wolves led the game 41-38 after the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Ooks came out strong, taking the lead as the Wolves struggled to defend against the Ooks outside shooting from number nine Yassir Abdullahi. As the Wolves struggled to gain momentum, they called a time-out hoping to close the gap. Ooks continued to break through the Wolves defence.
Ooks led the game 67-49 after the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Ooks continued to grow their lead leaving the Wolves offence scrambling to catch up however, the Ooks held their lead with great offensive outside shooting from number zero Austin Walter.
Ooks won the game 88-65.
