Ooks Defeat Wolves in Nail Biting Home Game

On Friday night the NAIT Ooks played Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves at the NAIT gymnasium. 

 

In the first quarter, Ooks came out strong, dominating the Wolves offensively with fantastic drives down low by number eight Owen Weaver. However, it wasn't long before the Wolves offence began to gain momentum from outside shots from number eleven Terrance Lennox.

Ooks led the game 19-15 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Ooks continued to grow their lead with great drives from number four Gabriel Humilde. However, the Wolves weren't far behind and with great offensive plays from number eight Christian Liwanag. Wolves managed to tie the game for the first time, leading the game.

Wolves led the game 36-35 after the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Ooks were struggling to defend against the Wolves offensive shots from number twenty Manny IIoka. However, the Ooks were close to taking back the lead with outside shots from number thirteen Stian Gleddie. However, the Wolves defence shut out the Ooks attempts to take the lead back.

Wolves led the game 59-55 after the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Ooks offence was gaining momentum however the Wolves were holding their lead strong with shots from number eight Christian Liwanag but the Ooks managed to make a come back with number one Griffin Lorenz tying the game and then taking the lead for the Ooks. 

Ooks won the game 78-76
