SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball Triumph in Home Opener Against Red Deer Polytechnic Kings

CALGARY, AB - The SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball team, six-time ACAC champions and reigning National Champions, returned to their home court with a vengeance today, clinching a spectacular victory over the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings. The final score, 104-86, was a stark contrast to their previous matchup on Friday when they faced defeat at the hands of the Kings with a score of 73-82.

The standout player of the game was none other than #00, Marcus Masters, who showcased his prowess with a remarkable 30-point performance. Masters, a returning player and a vital part of the Trojans' National Championship team from the previous year, proved once again why he is a force to be reckoned with on the court.

Following closely behind, #24 Kuol Kuol, another key returnee from last year's championship-winning squad, notched an impressive 19 points. Kuol's contribution was a significant factor in the Trojans' convincing victory today.

In his first home game as head coach, Matt Daley steered the Trojans to a triumphant start, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting season.

First-year player #2, Will Tong, also made a considerable impact on the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tong's dual threat of scoring and rebounding was instrumental in securing the win for the Trojans.

On the opposing side, Red Deer Polytechnic's #11, Efe Iyamu, was named their Player of the Game with an impressive 19 points. Meanwhile, #14 Jose Mauro Barrozo led the Kings in scoring with 23 points.
