MBB| Kodiaks Defeat the Lions in Home Opener

Kodiak's start the first quarter with a 10-point lead, #15 Cody Tollestrup with the first basket. Lion's #5 Lucas Pedersen made a strong effort trying to get ahead of the Kodiak's with a 9-point quarter.  The Lion's, feeling Kodiak's pressure called a timeout halfway through the quarter. After back-and-forth baskets from Kodiak's #7 Filip Karanovic and Lion's #5 Lucas Pedersen, the quarter finished with a score of 27-15 for the Kodiaks. 

Kodiak's #21 Declan Peterson came into the second quarter on fire scoring the first three points. The Lion's held a strong defence but it was no match for the Kodiak's. Lion's #3 Sunday Kher showed his game in this quarter sneaking by to score 5 points. Kodiak's called a timeout around the end of the period and Lion's #23 Victor Idoko made a fantastic 3-pt jump shot to end the quarter. The final score at the end of the first half was 47-27 for the Kodiak's 

Lion's find their way past the Kodiak's defence in the third quarter, Hunter Snyder with a 3-pt jump shot. Kodiak's continued to gap the Lion's with a 35-point lead, #12 Rhett Lewis put up 6 points in the quarter and #21 Declan Perterson with another four points. The third quarter finished with a score of 75-40 for the Kodiak's. 

Lion's start the final quarter with a 3-pt jump shot and #9 Hunter Snyder follows behind with another basket. Kodiak's struggle to score as the Lion's #14 Matthew Henry-Harrison scores 10 points against the Kodiak's. Although with good attempts the Lion's were no match for the Kodiak's as they took the win over the Lion's with a final score of 99-62.
