Kodiaks squeeze out narrow victory on the road

CAMROSE, AB - Narrowly getting the win, the Lethbridge Kodiaks squeeze out a 90-82 win over the University of Alberta - Augustana Vikings, Saturday night at Augustana Gym.

Leading the way to Victory was Mason Hoffman with 21 points, four rebounds and four assists. While across the court, the Vikings found offence in Ryan Degner with 19 points and three rebounds.

It was a back and fourth affair with both teams exchanging leads and winning quarters, leaving the decision to the final ten minutes of play. However, the sligh out scoring in quarter one and three by the Kodiaks would leave the Vikings six point fourth quarter win meaningless and the Kodiaks took the victory 90-82.

Look to the future, the Vikings will head north to play the Keyano Huskies in a two game series, while the Kodiaks will face off with the Ambrose Lions in a home-and-home series.
