CALGARY, ALTA., (Jan. 22, 2022) - After two straight road games in which they struggled to shoot the ball, the SAIT Trojans men's basketball team benefitted from being at home.
The Trojans matched their entire output from Friday night (66 points) by halftime on Saturday, as they cruised to a 100-66 decision over the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game played at SAIT's Campus Centre.
SAIT improves to 7-2 on the season, while the Rattlers fall to 2-8.
The Trojans got out to a blistering start, scoring 36 points in the opening quarter thanks to Camille Kamba and Niko Ivanovic combining to go a perfect 7-for-7 from the three-point line.
Kamba finished the game with 22 points to earn Player of the Game honours for the Trojans, while teammate Amin Suleman added 21 of his own.
David Kent-Canalejo was named Player of the Game for Medicine Hat after scoring a team-best 17 in the loss.
