2023 ACAC Golf Championships - Final Round

RED DEER, AB - On the ultimate day of the 2023 ACAC Golf Championship, the air was crisp with the unmistakable signs of fall at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer, Alberta. As the day progressed, banners unfurled proudly, trophies found their rightful owners, and medals were proudly worn by the accomplished golf athletes.

Men's Individual Results

Michael Valk (MHC) displayed exceptional skill, maintaining his dominant position on the men's individual leaderboard. He showcased his talent by finishing the tournament eight strokes under par. This remarkable performance solidified his status as a top contender in the competition, ultimately earning him the gold in the men's individual category.

Jadan Patel (SAIT) demonstrated steady improvement in his rounds throughout the tournament, enabling him to surpass his teammate, Jaedon McConnell, and secure a well-deserved silver medal. Patel finished the competition with an impressive score of three strokes under par, while McConnell maintained an even score throughout the tournament.

Concordia's Riley Higdon and Hayden Prins delivered exceptional performances during the tournament's third round, each carding an impressive score of 70, which allowed them to outperform their competitors. Higdon concluded all three rounds with a total score of 217, while Prins finished with a score of 216, securing their well-deserved positions in the top five.

Women's Individual Results

Ella Gifford from Concordia Thunder continued her impressive run at the forefront of the women's leaderboard, despite adding four strokes to her round two. Team Results

In the realm of team results, the last day of competition witnessed a significant leap in rankings between third and fourth place. On the men's side, SAIT continued to impress, maintaining their commanding lead with a cumulative score of +11. Concordia secured the silver medals with a cumulative score of +44. In a thrilling twist, the NAIT Ooks edged out the Medicine Hat Rattlers by a single stroke to claim the bronze, a noteworthy achievement in their inaugural year at the 2023 ACAC Golf Championships.

On the women's side, Concordia stood strong at the pinnacle, maintaining their top position with an impressive combined score of +88. Following closely, the Medicine Hat Rattlers secured their place on the podium with a total of +104, while the SAIT Trojans earned the bronze with a cumulative score of +140.
