ACAC Curling Championships - Final Day Recap

Airdrie, AB (February 25^th, 2024) - The final day of competition opened with early morning page playoff games, setting the stage for the Bronze & Gold medal games. Seeing the following teams advance to the gold medal games: RDP for men, CUE for women & LAKE for mixed.

All the teams battled hard throughout the day and after very competitive games, the awards were presented to the top 3 teams in each category.

Men:

Women:

Mixed:

1. LAKE
2. RDP
3. SAIT

Awards were also presented to rookies of the year & curlers of the year per gender:

Rookies of the year:

• Brenna Bilassy – CUE
• Chase Lozinsky – NAIT

Curlers of the year:

• Cassidy Blair – RDP
• Sean Borovic -  CUE

The event was streamed live through ACACTV & SAIT's YouTube channel, seeing upwards of 400 views per day. The SAIT Trojans would like to thank everyone involved in the event, especially the Airdrie Curling Club & The Town & Country Centre in Airdrie. Finally, we would like to recognize & congratulate the teams that will represent the ACAC at the CCAA Championship in Fredericton, NB.
