ACAC Curling Championships - Day 1 Recap

Airdrie, AB (February 23rd, 2024) - The SAIT Trojans hosted the ACAC Curling Championship in Airdrie, Alberta at the Airdrie Curling Club. It was 3 days full of exciting curling action, with ACAC Champions being crowned on Sunday in Men's, Women's and Mixed categories. The bonspiel saw 50 athletes in attendance from 6 different ACAC institutes.  

Day 1 of competition saw the teams participate in the opening ceremonies complete with bagpipes & a ceremonial rock throw, before starting game 1 of the round-robin competition.

Friday night, the Trojans hosted the ACAC Banquet & Awards presentation at the Airdrie Town & Country Club. Along with table games and delicious BBQ, awards were presented to the coach of the year, all-conference players, and the Charles Morter Memorial Award.
