ACAC Hall of Fame Athlete Inductee: Kim Valleau

HONOURED ATHLETE INDUCTEE

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Kim Valleau of Mount Royal University Cougars as a 2024 inductee into the ACAC Hall of Fame in the Athlete category.

Kim's tenure as a golfer at Mount Royal University, spanning from 2003 to 2008, is characterized by an unparalleled legacy of excellence and achievement on the golf course. Her dedication to both academics and athletics, coupled with her outstanding performance, has rightfully earned her a place in the annals of Mount Royal's athletic history.

Kim's accomplishments on the golf course speak volumes about her skill and determination:

  • Five-time ACAC Champion (2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08)
  • Four-time ACAC Golf Team Champion
  • ACAC Golfer of the Year 2007-08
  • CCAA Golfer of the Year 2007-08
  • 2006 Bronze medalist at the RCGA National University/College Golf Championships

Beyond her individual accolades, Kim demonstrated exemplary leadership and community engagement. She served as a role model and mentor to her teammates, earning the title of Team MVP in four of her five years at Mount Royal. Kim also actively contributed to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and volunteered her time for the C is for Cougars program, showcasing her commitment to giving back to the community.

Congratulations, Kim, on your induction into the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Your exceptional contributions to Mount Royal University's golf program and your enduring legacy as a student-athlete will continue to inspire future generations.
